If you always wondered what goes on behind the scenes …  You are in for a treat!

I was thrilled to be able to Interview my dear friend Rick Salazar, Guitarist Extraordinaire and Guitar Tech for Guitarist Davey Johnston,  of Elton John's Band.

When you know a friend so well, yet have the pleasure of doing a full fledged interview it can make a girl nervous. Actually the conversation is the easy part... Rick and his lady love, Traci Loving of Imagine Loving Art, are 2 of my dearest friends. We have never seemed to have a problem with chatting away (for hours) when ever we get the chance to be together. This show was nerve racking because I wanted them to be proud of my work as much as I am proud of their work. So... here it is Backstage with Rick Salazar. Take a listen, for a chance to hear what it's been like for Rick to be with one of the greatest artists in the world for over 30 years. Not to mention his touring with Madonna, and his many years with Bryan Adams. Plus Rick gave us a couple of his all time favorite songs to listen to.

The show is airing Sunday May 5th on The River in Western Colorado.  Funny thing is... it's airing while I am driving to join up with Rick and Traci in Vegas for a little vacation time.  Here's your opportunity to get in a listen before it airs in the West!

With Love,
Cyrene

I am so bummed I won't be able to attend NAMM this year. 2018 will be the 1st year in ten that I won't be attending. This year I will be hosting at the Aspen X Games for ESPN. Tough job, but I am up for it, and yes someones got to do it.

So ... this year I will be missing seeing Jackson Browne  receive the Les Paul Innovation Award during the 33rd annual NAMM show in Anaheim, California. But I hope you don't miss this weekend at
the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM).

NAMM honors recipients for their high standards of excellence in the creative application of recording technology. Jackson Browne will receive his award at a ceremony on January 27th. Browne released his latest single "The Dreamers" in December, and kicked off his latest U.S. tour last week.

Congratulations to Jackson Browne, this award is well deserved! I will surely miss doing the annual catch up with friends and colleagues... On the flip side let's hit the slopes... details coming soon at Aspen X Games!

50 Years of Led Zeppelin

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant has recently discussed whether he sees himself recording with his former Led Zeppelin bandmate Jimmy Page again. During an interview with DJ Kyle Meredith on 91.9 WFPK, in Louisville. Plant said he had “no idea” whether the two would work together again. “It’s not even within my countenance to imagine it, really,” he said. When Meredith noted that fans still hold the band “dear in their hearts”, the singer responded: “Me too – nobody more than me. But I don’t want to do it a disservice either.”

Robert Plant recently released his latest album with the Sensational Space Shifters, Carry Fire, and he’s about to embark on a North American tour in support of Carry Fire. The album includes a collaboration with The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde and he revealed that he and Alison Krauss have discussed a sequel to their Grammy-winning collaborative album, Raising Sand.

However, last year, Jimmy Page teased “all manner of surprises” coming in 2018 to mark the band’s landmark anniversary. In an interview for the Academy Of Achievement at The Oxford Union, Page said the surviving members of the group would be celebrating the milestone in 2018. “There’ll be Led Zeppelin product coming out, for sure, that people haven’t heard, because I’m working on that,” he said.
